"I have a dream that goes beyond fashion, envisioning a shift in how we value the world, where luxury is redefined by craftsmanship, heritage, and community."
Born in the heart of the Caribbean, she was always destined to leave an indelible mark on the world of fashion. She became one of the first Latinas to conquer the most prestigious stages as an international model. Her steps resonated on the catwalks of Paris, Milan and New York, starring in campaigns for recognized fashion brands.
Afterward, she embarked on a journey to explore every corner of Argentina with her camera, connecting with ancient techniques and artisan communities. This experience awakened a passion that had been within her since childhood: craftsmanship. Little did she realize that as she began to create Curatoria, she was carrying the heritage of her home while preserving the legacy of these communities.
Astrid has always been deeply interested in understanding the world and the culture of artisan communities. After witnessing the erosion of traditional techniques in Argentina, she is now dedicating her life to partnering with artisan communities and creating a global platform to showcase their exceptional work. With a deep understanding of the cultural and economic challenges these communities face, Astrid built her fashion brand, CURATORIA, on a foundation of ethical business practices, sustainable sourcing, and a genuine commitment to empowering local artisans. Her vision is not only transforming the lives of the people she collaborates with, but it is also set to bring Argentina's timeless beauty and craftsmanship to the global luxury market.
Today, through her role as Creative Director, Astrid remains a driving force for change and the preservation of traditions that have shaped her identity and passion for fashion.
"I envision a future where these traditions are not relics, but a vibrant, evolving art form that brings sustainability and progress together."
